Estância Mimosa is a typical ranch of Mato Grosso do Sul state, endowed with natural beauties not common in other regions.
Our proposal is to show our visitors not only the region´s natural beauties, but also a bit of Mato Grosso do Sul´s peculiar culture. The former ranch house was kept in its original style, receiving improvements to make possible the tourist visitation.
The itinerary starts in the ranch´s main house, where visitors can taste a light homemade snack with typical cakes and cookies, carefully prepared on an authentic wood stove. A narrow creek runs through the kitchen table forming a small waterfall, which is perfect for a cooling shower during the hottest days! In addition, there are hammocks placed underneath vines of passion fruits, a lagoon that became a haven for alligators and birds, an orchard where various fruits can be picked, a plant nursery, a vegetable garden and a small chapel on the hill.
The main ecotourism tour offered is Trails and waterfalls. At the homestead of the Estância Mimosa, you will be given instructions and gear to walk safely and comfortably along the trails and walkways of the woods. Your tour will be led by a specialized guide. To ensure safety and quality, the groups are limited and small, of up to 12 people.
After this cozy reception, it is time to go on a pleasant stroll through the gallery forest of Mimoso River, passing by nine waterfalls of various sizes and shapes. Along the way, there are six places suitable for swims near the waterfalls or in natural pools, besides small caves, lookouts and a 6-meter high diving board from which you can jump into a natural water hole. The Mimoso river, that crosses the ranch, has built on its way, throughout millenniums, an impressive set of waterfalls, jumps, and rapids that refresh the forest bordering its path.
After your tour on Estância Mimosa, a ranch-style lunch with regional dishes and sweets awaits you. Wood-burning stove and iron pans provide special flavor to the food. For your comfort and convenience, Estância Mimosa also offers a bar and a shop with exclusive products.
