The caves of San Miguel, in addition to their beauty, offer one of the best and most advanced infrastructure for visiting a cave in Brazil. The main cavity shows a variety of curious forms of speleothems - stalactites, stalagmites, and limestone formations carved by nature over millions of years. The caves of San Miguel is a dry cavity, where the process of evolution ended long ago, therefore a unique attraction in the region. The surprises begin immediately on arrival to the Visitors´ Center, with great architecture, where the tourists are received in a warm and comfortable atmosphere, with bar and gazebo, and panoramic view of the entire region. Visitors will also receive guidance through lectures, which highlights not only the beauty of the region, as well as its historical and ecological importance. The access to the cave is done by an exciting suspended track, with more than 200 meters long, which leads the visitors to the entrance of the cave, with breaks for comments and explanations about the elements of the region. The path can also be done, optionally, in an electric car until the entrance of the cave. The Caves of San Miguel are located in the Ecological Park of the Natural Reserve of Anhumas Valley, just 12km away from the center of Bonito, MS.
